Very often those who write their own music feel at some point that every chord sequence seems similar & every intro seems to sound the same. Of-course that didn't do Status Quo any harm, however...exposing your music to a third party & dissecting it in a days workshop can lead to new ideas & new direction.

Lyrics are pretty much left to you but structure & chord sequences in particular will be the main focus. The tricks used by the most successful artists will be explored. Most are very simple & some you may not have thought of may lend themselves to your music.

A days workshop (10.00 – 4.00 with 1 hr lunch) costs £160. A £40 deposit is required on booking, please.

A music practice room is planned in Newburgh. In the medium term however bands will have to play to an acoustic type level. If there’s a drummer – he / she will have to be controlled! If volume is important to you - & hey, volume is good… you may have to wait a while to play in Newburgh…or…you can request Dave’s presence instead at your practice room.

Time for this is £40/hr…maybe 1 hr is enough. (+£20 travel to Dundee, Perth, Cupar etc) Cash please on arrival!

You must be prepared for lots of encouragement but also a frank personal assessment.
